Carol to Care | Toronto

Written by Alex Wichert on December 20th, 2016

On December 17, 2016, carolers gathered at corners around Yonge-Dundas Square to raise funds for homeless youth. Wearing Christmas props and costumes, holding songbooks, and attracting the attention of local passersby, the volunteers raised over $600 for homeless youth in local communities. The event concluded with hot chocolate at the Ryerson Student Learning Centre.

Trek for Teens would like to thank all participants who attended the day. In addition, the organization would like to thank Volunteer Toronto, Project 5K, and Youth Nation Alliance for their outreach to volunteers.

Carol to Care may conclude the Trek for Teens events for this calendar year but there are many upcoming 2017 outings which range in theme and style – head to our Event Listing for more details!

What is the Trek for Teens Foundation?

The Toronto Trek for Teens, or T3 for short, is a charitable project set up by youth, for youth. The trek itself consists of a team-oriented race which takes place in downtown Toronto every Spring. Teams of youth ages 13-19 solve problems and find hidden clues, working together to complete the course (much like the Amazing Race). Throughout the day, there are other ongoing festivities at and around Yonge-Dundas Square. Find out more about the Foundation.
