Tokens4Change | Toronto

Written by Alex Wichert on February 15th, 2017

On February 3rd, volunteers gathered at Toronto Transit Commission stations around the city to raise funds for youth at Youth Without Shelter. Volunteers danced, sang, performed dramatic skits, and spoke with the public about the cause. Spare change and TTC fare were collected. Trek for Teens is proud to have had volunteers at this event.

$97,614.26, including 673.6 pounds of coin, was collected for essential youth transit needs and shelter services. Over the past seven years, Tokens4Change has now raised $562,088.26!

Trek for Teens would like to thank all sponsors of the event, including Tangerine. A special thank you to all the volunteers who dedicated their time to this day!

What is the Trek for Teens Foundation?

The Toronto Trek for Teens, or T3 for short, is a charitable project set up by youth, for youth. The trek itself consists of a team-oriented race which takes place in downtown Toronto every Spring. Teams of youth ages 13-19 solve problems and find hidden clues, working together to complete the course (much like the Amazing Race). Throughout the day, there are other ongoing festivities at and around Yonge-Dundas Square. Find out more about the Foundation.
