Year End Donation Drive | Toronto

Written by Alex Wichert on May 11th, 2017

Throughout the month of April, the University of Toronto – Trek for Teens Club hosted a Year End Donation Drive on University of Toronto Campus. The drive collected gently used clothing, unopened hygiene products, school supplies, and furniture; it was held at St. Michael’s College, Loretto College, New College, University College, Woodsworth College, and Innis College.

The event was a success – an estimated $61,000 worth of collected items were raised and the drive completely filled the storage rooms of nine Toronto shelters. Trek for Teens would like to thank all volunteers and participants of this event.

What is the Trek for Teens Foundation?

The Toronto Trek for Teens, or T3 for short, is a charitable project set up by youth, for youth. The trek itself consists of a team-oriented race which takes place in downtown Toronto every Spring. Teams of youth ages 13-19 solve problems and find hidden clues, working together to complete the course (much like the Amazing Race). Throughout the day, there are other ongoing festivities at and around Yonge-Dundas Square. Find out more about the Foundation.
