Student Leaders

We are currently looking for Student Leaders to represent and bring the Trek for Teens to their schools, boards, youth groups etc. Student leaders are provided with information packages and posters to distribute, as well as the information and training to bring together participants and entertainers for our main events. Student leaders are also eligible to volunteer during our Battle of the Bands events, and volunteer with the Race and Fashion Show on May 14th. The Race

Participants

To be eligible to participate in the race one must:
- be 13-19 years old
- have a team of three to five members
- pledge a minimum amount of $30 per student (more pledges are recommended, as prizes will be given to the applicants who raise the largest sums)

All teams must register by March 25, 2011 in order to compete. Teams can register through T3 Student Leader, online by completing a registration form and emailing it to michael@trekforteens.com or by mailing it to the address indicated on the participant registration form. In order to complete the registration process, all team members must have submitted a minimum of $30 in pledge donations per team member by March 25, 2011. Registered teams may present any additional pledges on May 14th, 2011 during the pre-race registration period, at which teams will receive an official T3 passport, T3 participants t-shirts and additional race information.

To register a team please fill out our Participant Form 2011, each participant is also required to submit a copy of the Media Release Form 2011 and a copy of the Release, Waiver and Indemnity Form 2011 along with their Participant Registration form and the minimum pledge donation of $30.

Fashion Show

T3 is looking for dedicated and passionate models, designers, and volunteers seeking to showcase their talents or experience a role in a fashion show. Listed below are descriptions and links for all of the positions.

Models

We are looking for preferably experienced models. The deadline for model applications is Sunday, March 6, 2011.

Designers

We are looking for designers who can ideally design a collection of 5-8 looks (exceptions can be made) by the April deadline. The deadline for designer applications is Sunday, January 16, 2011.

Volunteers

We are looking for 22 or more volunteers interested in working as ushers/VIP tenants, ticket vendors and greeters, backstage attendants, assistants, runners, clothing security, etc. Positions will be assigned after all volunteers are chosen. The deadline for volunteer applications is Sunday, March 6, 2011.

NOTE: All volunteers, models, and designers will be required to sell a certain amount of tickets.

Battle of the Bands

The Battle of the Bands this year is a 4 Rounder—the top 2 bands from each round will play the finale at Yonge-Dundas Square on May 14th.

Bands: Read and fill out the Entertainment Application form.

Performers: Read and fill out the entertainer/performer section of the Entertainment Application form and submit to Gabe Rivela (for May 14th only—deadline TBA).

Dance Competition

The T3 dance competition is an opportunity for dancers in the GTA to help raise funds and awareness for homeless youth, and show their dance skills to the world on the Yonge-Dundas stage. The T3 dance competition will feature solos, duets / trios, small groups, large group and extended lines. All dances will be scored by a panel of judges; the judges will award each dance an award level. The award levels are as follows: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Emerald, and Diamond. All dances will receive an award level; the top three scores will receive prizes. Please visit the Dance Competition Page for more details
