The Toronto Trek for Teens is taking place on Saturday May 15th at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Participant registration begins at 9:00AM at the tents at Yonge-Dundas Square. Teams will be receiving their t-shirts, passports, maps, and rules.

The race will begin at 10:00 AM and will end promptly at 4:00 PM. Depending on how fast they can complete checkpoint challenges, teams may finish earlier than 4:00 PM. All teams must check in at the tents once they have completed the race!

During the race, we will be having “Flashing Lights” – our Fashion Show hosted by Jaclyn Genovese from Slice TV series Jaclife. This will be taking place at Ryerson’s RAM in the RYE (Room SCC 115, 55&63 Gould Street). Doors open at 2pm, $20, show starts at 3pm. 

ALSO!…During the day we will be having a live DJ and dance crew performances at Yonge-Dundas Square!

Closing ceremonies for the race will be taking place at 4:30 PM, where we will announce the winning teams, hear from the charities that are benefiting from this event, and thank our sponsors and volunteers.

At 5:30 PM we will beginning our free final round of our Battle of the Bands! Over the course of the year, around 30 bands battled against each other to secure a spot at our May 15th show. 8 bands have made it, including our top 2 bands from last year.

To conclude the day, we will be having our Trek for Teens Fundraising Afterparty at Ryerson’s Ram in the Rye. Begins 10:30PM. Entrance $10.

Doors open at 7pm for the second round of our Battle of the Bands series, and we have four bands in the running for the top spot this weekend:

8:30pm Remedies
9:15pm Moeraes Fate
10:00pm Altered Escape

Come on out for a good time and help support the Trek for Teens Foundation on behalf of Covenant House, Youth Without Shelter, and Horizons for Youth.

The date and location for T3′s second round of the Battle of the Bands has been finalized: Saturday, February 27th at the Coop! Performances begin at 7pm, so round up a group of friends and come and check out the amazing bands that will be performing that night. Admission is $10 and goes towards various charities that help homeless youth in Toronto.

If you are in a band, or know a band that would be interested in performing in this event (or even round 3 of the Battle of the Bands in March!) please fill out the entertainment application forms found under the Get Involved: Battle of the Bands section. Once completed email them to John Gasior: gasior77@hotmail.com. The deadline for submission to Battle of the Bands 2 is FEBRUARY 14TH.

It’s the much anticipated, Back-to-School launch of our new website! I would like to welcome you to our beautiful portal, where you will find all the information you need in regards to everything Trek for Teens. Our new easy to navigate website will provide for you all the different ways you can get involved in our teens helping teens initiative. Here you can download participant, entertainer, and model forms, find out about becoming a student leader at your school, find out different ways you can donate, or get in contact with one of the members of our Executive team! Also, don’t forget to check out some of the footage from our past years’ events.

A huge shout out goes to the magnificent James Costa, Creative Director of The Phuse website design and development company (and best friend of the Trek for Teens Executive ), who so generously devoted his time, leadership, and creativity to the creation of this new website. James you are amazing in every single way! A warm thank you also goes out to the design team who put their minds to work in the creation of our new site: Michelle Araullo, Matthew Cox-Saunders, and Naomi Reyes.
